Advocacy

Advocacy

Advocacy is at the heart of what we do. Our role is to be the voice of credit unions, ensuring that the interests of the sector, and the more than 4 million members it serves, are represented in policy, legislation, and regulation. Through this work, we help create an environment in which credit unions can thrive and continue to meet the evolving needs of their communities.

Our key pillars focus on "Championing Credit Unions and Their Members".

Pillar 1 – Proportional Regulation and Financial Resilience

Advocating for a regulatory framework that is proportionate, practical, and tailored to the credit union model. This includes reforms that strengthen financial resilience, reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, and support the long-term sustainability of the sector.
